Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the froggiest frog of all?
Woody Allen. For those of you who don't know who he is, here's a little background. Allen is a famous director/screenwriter/comedian...the list goes on. He is best known for his films Annie Hall, Manhattan and Midnight in Paris. He was also the voice of Z in the movie Antz . Allen has been in show business since the 1950's.
How could you call this sweet innocent man a frog?
Wellll, it goes a little something like this. Allen and actress Mia Farrow (Rosemary's Baby, The Great Gatsby) were an item. While never married, they adopted two children together. Farrow had an adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn, from a previous marriage. Farrow and Allen split when she found nude pictures of 20 year-old Soon-Yi in Allen's possession. The relationship began in 1991 when she was 19 and he was 56.
Ok. Gross. Isn't that like his stepdaughter or something?
I put that in bold letters because:
1) It's probably what you were thinking as you read it.
2) It IS gross.
Allen was technically not Soon-Yi's stepfather because he and Farrow were never married. That does not change the fact that he was in a long term, committed relationship with her mother and helped raise her. In addition, this is not the first time that Allen allegedly robbed the cradle. It is rumored that he began a romantic relationship with a 17 year old actress from one of his previous films.
Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn were married in 1997. They now have two adopted daughters of their own (better watch your back Soon-Yi). My advice to Allen is to keep his "woody" away from people's children. That is all.
