"Plenty of people miss their share of happiness, not because they never found it, but because they didn't stop to enjoy it."~William Feather
So many people are unhappy! It boggles my mind because happiness is just a feeling and nothing else. Just like joy, anger, hate and sorrow, your happiness is within your control. You have a choice when it comes to being happy. You can choose to be or not to be, but the choice is ultimately all yours!
I believe people tend to lose sight of this and therefore find themselves unhappy with different aspects of their lives such as relationships, careers or financial situations. They tend to look so deep into what's not right, that they fail to realize all of the good which lies before them. They create a mindset to change the things they feel make them unhappy and never realize what they had until it's too late.
I do agree certain things in our lives may cause us to lose focus or lose sight on what's important but we have to take the time to see the good in our lives. We have to change our outlook on certain things in order to truly understand and find happiness. We have to step out of our comfort zones and lay down our defenses in order to find true happiness. We must stop being so stubborn that we fail to realize happiness is not something that can be found.
It's like the saying goes, some pursue happiness while others create it! Are you seeking happiness thinking it will magically appear one day or are you working to create the happiness you deserve? Are the things you are doing today leading you towards your eventual happiness or are you waiting for this so called happiness to fall on your lap?
Reality is, if you seek happiness, you will probably never find it! You have to create the happiness you want in your life and always remember the good things in life don't come easy. You have to work hard at it and the harder you work at it, the more you earn the right to truly be happy. Until then, you will be lost in a world where true happiness doesn't exist; well unless you are living in a world of fantasy and fairy tales.
We should focus on being content with what we have and instead of being unhappy when things don't go our way, we should look at the good in our lives and let this be the key to our happiness. If we don't have control over our own happiness, then who does?
Until then I wish you all the happiness that life can offer and I pray for a world where happiness is as easily attainable as sunshine and air. Then and only then will we see more successful relationships, careers, financial situations, etc. Regardless of whether you're a half cup empty or half cup full type of person, keep in mind there's always just enough should you really need it! Appreciate true happiness and stay blessed, always!!!
